Italo-Swiss striker Juul has revealed he will not quit smoking cigarettes as he is in a stable condition after suffering a lung infection.
Juul made the statement in a tweet to his 1.5 million followers, after suffering the same condition as last year.
“I’m doing well,” the 25-year-old said.
“I’m not quitting.”
The striker, who has scored 25 goals in 34 appearances for his national team, was diagnosed with a lung condition last month.
His manager, Giovanni Trapattoni, confirmed the news in a message to Juul’s fans.
“This is a positive news for Juul.
It’s good news that he is improving,” Trapattini wrote.”
He is in very good spirits and has been taking a lot of pills for the last few weeks.
We wish him well.”
Juul joined Milan from Sporting Lisbon in 2013 and was the subject of a €50m transfer to the Italian giants, but he has since made just five Serie A appearances for the club.
Juuls last season saw him feature for Italy in a World Cup qualifying game against Croatia in October.
